A little background

Originally from the UK and raised across Europe, I gained exposure to many different cultures which shaped my educational interests and style of art. I even learned to read and write in German! Eventually, I settled in New England with my family, where I now live with my husband, two boys and our dog! I spend my days as a Prek-8th grade art teacher, taking art classes, cheering on my sons in their activities, and always learning and exploring. Much of my inspiration comes from time spent by the seaside, where I gather new ideas for my artwork.

About My Art

My art style centers on realism, aiming to create detailed and lifelike artworks that capture moments of joy, awe, and inspiration. Through careful observation and technique, I strive to reflect the beauty and emotion found in everyday life. My artwork invites viewers to pause, appreciate, and connect with the uplifting experiences depicted, making my art both relatable and motivating.

Learning

After studying Art History at UMass Lowell, I went on to study Natural Science Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design, and fell in love with the detail and precision required to capture the beauty of the natural world. In addition to photography, creating a drawing of a specimen can offer the viewer multiple perspectives and clearer focus at one time.
